Kelly Kang’s Blog as a Snapshot into Gracepoint Culture
by makestraight

As you all well know, Kelly has a blog.

http://kellykangblog.wordpress.com

I thought of something interesting as I was perusing it awhile ago. Read her blog posts. Then read all the comments.

They all boil down to one of the following:

“Thank you”

“Thank you so much for that reminder.”

“Thank you so much because (summary of Kelly’s post) is so true.”

Kelly herself states in her blog that she won’t post every comment submitted. There’s absolutely no dialogue, no questions, no discussion.

But anyways, here are the conclusions that we can reach from these above observations.

1. Kelly only approves and posts favorable comments OR

2. Everyone only submits favorable comments

Either way, it’s a snapshot of the culture there at Gracepoint Fellowship Church.

Kelly Kang only wants to be thanked and spoken of favorably. No disagreements are allowed. If you have a disagreement, she will ignore it or dismiss it, or accuse that something is wrong with you.

And people dare not post anything controversial, or even a question about her posts, even if it’s not biblical. Why? I strongly believe they are afraid. They are afraid to disagree, or even contest something based upon the bible.

She has already posted 2 posts that are not biblical, about “healthy fear” and about “continuing debt“.

Her blog, which was probably partially devised to drown out the truth, rather reveals it.
