It seems like all the other blogs and websites, including Gracepoint is Dangerous, are down. I know some were taken down by the authors, and some seemed to be hacked. If any of the authors are reading this blog, kindly let us know why you decided to take down/no longer maintain your blog?

i haven't visited an "ex-berkland" site in many years. my blog (maybe one of the first "ex" blogs) was hacked and taken down.

ReplyDeleteAs someone that left a little over a year ago, I can attest that yes indeed, the church is still dysfunctional, and still destructive. At first I was okay, and after about 4 months I started realizing the fullness of just how much I had bought into while I was there, and how much I was still scarred and angered by it. It took another 4 months for me to come to terms with most of that anger.

DeleteI'd like to echo the same sentiments as the above comments. The blogs were a good reminder that I wasn't alone when I decided to leave. However the real recovery happened when I stopped reading these blogs, or even thinking about gracepoint at all. Recovery happens when you move forward and stop looking at the past. However, it's necessary for these blogs to stay up, because there will be many more kids who may need to see this information in the future.
